wow first time I ever watched ‘look shiny’ and i LLLOOOVVVEEEDDD it! (that means a lot) amazing! and I agree on those packages how they are pretty much impossible to open!
also nick you should start using the show player on blip, it lets the view make the video full screen, and even cooler than that they can go to past episodes right in the player without reloading.
My skinny Guitar Hero 2 box arrived in a gigantic Amazon.com package that could easily double as a coffee table. I think it’s Amazon.com’s effort to furnish college dorm rooms on the cheap.
Damn this episode keeps making me think of things. I bought a new mac and the boxes now are soo small, they are literally just big enough to hold the computer. for some reason things upsets me. I remember when you would buy a mac and they came in big square boxes with lots of fitted packing material. I think the new packaging was mainly because greenpeace was on apple’s ass about their ipod batteries hurting the environment (which is ironic becuase steve is a total hippie).
I once received similarly crappy packaging from a cable dealer in South San Francisco (bastard child of the bay). It was a 1-foot long piece of fiber (think tiny) that came in a box at least 3′ tall. I hope that’s all they had no choice.

That’s it. I’m never buying salt again. I’ll just use those little freshness salt packets from now on.

nick do you really watch american idol? I’d like someone to explain the appeal of that show to me, everytime I watch it I feel uncomfortable.

I think this was your best post. You seem so relaxed and natural. And seriously what is the huge box?

And you thought that was bad? Check out what Dell’s “Carbon Neutral” packaging is like: http://www.mattb.net.nz/blog/2007/02/14/dell-carbon-neutrality/
